Monthly Money Horoscopes - April 2018
The dynamics of your financial year completely change this month, but not because it shifts from one focus to another and more that another layer has been added that changes everything. Until now the only planet in either of your two money houses has been Jupiter, in your financial sector since last October. With no planetary activity on the income front since mid 2017, the money gods have been able to put all their focus onto your financial situation and money matters and you have been able to do the same. Yet after five months in your financial sector and in his first full month in retrograde motion, Jupiter is ready to take a back seat. It doesn't mean that money matters as a whole are no longer important, but in retrograde motion Jupiter allows you to focus more on review, revision and cementing everything in play until now. This leaves space for income matters to have their turn and they will in a way that will eventually eclipse everything that even Jupiter is doing. It was Venus' return to your income sector on the 31st March that has brought the first real focus on income matters this year and the perfect planet has returned for the job. As the planet of money, but more specifically earned income, Venus is the perfect planet to get the ball rolling. Until leaving on the 25th April Venus will focus on fuelling your confidence, desires, expectations and a sense of entitlement, along with attracting opportunities. The Sun's return on the 20th April will see the solar spotlight shift onto your income situation, matters and options while keeping the ball in play after Venus moves on. However, there is no danger of things going off the boil, with Uranus' return next month changing everything. You haven't just reached the most potentially lucrative months of 2018, but the most potentially lucrative years in decades.
For the first time in over three years, you've moved into a new month with no planetary activity in either of your two money houses and a very rare chance to keep your money hat off. With the Sun not returning to your income sector each year, it should stay that way for the whole month but Venus, planet of money is too impatient for that. It was Mars' departure from your financial sector last month that ended over three years of near continuous planetary activity, including Saturn's three year financial boot camp from December 2014 to December 2017. While leaving you with your financial passions and fighting spirit fuelled, Mars has moved on and has given money matters a chance to settle. The Moon's return to your financial sector from the 4th April to the 7th April is the first since Mars left and the first with no planetary activity here since September 2014. As the Moon fuels your financial instincts and imagination, this will be a chance to regroup and also tie up loose ends, as the money gods prepare to give income matters some much needed attention. The Moon's return to your income sector from the 19th April to the 21st April will be the first sign that something has shifted. For just the second time in over three years and since Mars left your financial sector last month, the Moon is able to move through your income sector without being opposed by financial forces and without creating financial tension. Instead as your nose for money kicks in, this is when Venus' return on the 25th April will show up on your radar. Venus will return to kick off the most lucrative months of 2018 and the first without a push back from money matters in over three years.
With Venus not returning to your income sector until next month and the Sun and Mercury not returning until June, it is too early in the year for the money gods to turn their attention onto income matters. However, with some powerful forces in play on the job and career fronts, there is so much untapped income potential being created that all it will take is a trigger. Venus' return next month will definitely do that, but pay attention as the Moon moves through your income sector from the 21st April to the 23rd April. If this doesn't trigger unexpected income developments, at the least this will sharpen your nose for money and give you a lucrative sense of direction. For now, the focus is still on your financial situation and money matters, but even here this is to a much greater degree than you would normally expect at this time of year. With Pluto in your financial sector from 2008 to 2024 money matters will never entirely go off the boil, but Saturn's return just before Christmas has already made this one of your most powerful financial years in decades. Yet with Saturn turning retrograde on the 18th April and Pluto on the 23rd April, this was going to see money matters slow right down. That will still be the case to a degree and especially where there is a need for review or you need to spend time back at the drawing board. Yet where he can Mars, in his first full month in your financial sector, will continue to fire things and push money matters forward. You start the month with Mars and Saturn aligned and that will give you a better sense of how to balance Mars' need for action and Saturn's need for restraint. The Moon will not only move through your financial sector from the 7th April to the 9th April but will align with all three planets, giving you a better sense of how to play things.
With the lunar nodes in your two money houses, this was always going to be a year where there would need to be a balance between money coming in and money going out. However, the money gods seem to have worked out a system whereas they are taking turns. For the first two months of the year, there was a lot of planetary activity in your financial sector, as is always the case at that time of year. This was also when there was a total lunar eclipse in your income sector and a solar eclipse in your friendship sector, both caused by having the lunar nodes here. Mars' return to your financial sector next month will see money matters come to the fore again, but for now, it is the turn of income matters and the timing couldn't be better. Unlike the South Node in your financial sector, where there will be no planetary activity until Mars returns next month, Ceres has been with the North Node in your income sector since last September. However, in retrograde motion since last December, income matters have taken a back seat. Ceres' direct turn last month changed that. Ceres is not only spending her first full month in direct motion in your income sector but just as things are coming together on the career front. Venus, planet of money only left your career sector on the 31st March, having spent the last 24 days of March fuelling your professional confidence, attracting opportunities and steering things in a lucrative direction. With the Sun in your career sector until the 20th April, Mercury all month and Uranus in his last full month there, there is plenty of support for Ceres as she works to get income matters moving.
Ever since Uranus returned to your financial sector in 2003 to begin near continuous planetary activity since then, April has been a regrouping month. Uranus left in 2010, but not before Chiron returned to take over and then Neptune returned in 2012. Money matters will never completely go off the boil, not as long as you have planets in your financial sector, which you do until 2026. However, when you have planets here all year, year after year, you have to have time to regroup. The most active months of any financial year for money matters as a whole is when the Sun, Mercury and Venus move through. The Sun will always leave on the March equinox, so around the 21st March and Venus and Mercury at around the same time. This year both Venus and Mercury left weeks before the Sun, with your annual financial update over by the time you move into the new month. This is the point where Neptune, planet of dreams and Chiron, planet of healing begin processing these active months and adjust to going back to their normal pattern. Except that doesn't quite happen, for after being in your financial sector since 2010 Chiron will leave on the 17th April and this will completely change the dynamics. Since returning Chiron, planet of healing has been focused on laying old financial demons to rest, which means there has been continual focus on anything from the past that still haunts you. With Chiron gone, for the first time since returning in 2012 Neptune can finally make it more about chasing your financial dreams. The Moon's visit from the 12th April to the 14th April will ensure your financial instincts are sharp during Chiron's final days and as the dynamics of your financial year shift.
The focus will always be on your financial situation and money matters at this time of year, with the Sun always spending the first three weeks of April in your financial sector. Where you find the Sun you're more likely to find Venus and Mercury and that was the case until just a few hours before you moved into the new month. Venus only left on the 31st March, but not before fuelling your financial confidence, desires and expectations. Venus and Mercury were not only here when the Sun returned last month but were aligned, allowing you to start your annual financial review with heart and head in the game from the get go. Mercury who will normally move through in just 15 days should have left before Venus, having done what he could to give you the smart head for money needed to get your head in the game. It is Mercury who works with the Sun each year to help you create a financial game plan and resolutions for the coming year. Instead, Mercury turned retrograde just after the Sun returned and will remain in retrograde motion until the 15th April. This will make it important not to push or rush money matters in the first half of the month, but it gives a chance to spend time back at the drawing board. While the Sun will leave on the 20th April, a New Moon on the 16th April will give you a chance to commit to your financial game plan and resolutions for the coming year. Except with Mercury not leaving until the 14th May and Uranus, here since 2010 leaving on the 16th May, this is something that is still evolving. Normally the message to Uranus from the Sun as he leaves each year is 'we'll catch up again next year'. There will be no next year when it comes to working with Uranus, the planet that reveals the truth, with Mercury staying on to create a game plan and resolutions for the ages.
There are new dynamics in play on the financial front this month and while the implications don't appear to be game changing they are. And when I say game changing I mean for the best, with Venus' return to your financial sector in the final hours of March forever changing the dynamics of this financial year and in one fell swoop she'll do so on the income and financial fronts. Venus is the planet of money, but more specifically earned income. While not quite in her home zone in your financial sector, Venus has still returned to fuel your financial confidence, desires and expectations. There are two reasons why this is game changing. The first is that for the first time in 12 years Venus has returned to find Jupiter on the other side of the sky in your income sector, in what is her home zone. Venus might not return to your income sector until later in the year, but Jupiter is there now and in opposition Venus can put on the heat, making sure he lives up to his promise. This is Jupiter's first full month in retrograde motion in your income sector, so as well as standing back in order to give money matters their turn, he has opened the doors to the past, second chances and untapped income potential. By the time Venus moves into opposition with Jupiter on the 17th April, pressure between the planets of money and luck could create the potential for a breakthrough. More so on the income front. Jupiter is in your income sector and your income sector is Venus' home zone. The other reason why Venus' return is a game changer, is that while she will leave your financial sector on the 25th April, five days after the Sun's return on the 20th April, she is the opening act for Uranus' return next month. This will keep money matters in play until 2026.
All is quiet in both your money houses this month, remarkably so and in a way that you might still be adjusting to. Because the last time you moved into a new month without planetary activity in either of your two money houses was in September 2014, over three years ago. What began then with Mars' return to your income sector, only ended when Mars became the last planet to leave last month. Mars had returned twice in that time, always to find Saturn here, from December 2014 to December 2017. Mars may have left your income sector last month, but there is plenty of momentum and enough happening on the job and career fronts to keep the wheels turning until lucky Jupiter returns in November. This will have no detrimental impact on income matters and if anything this might have taken some of the pressure off you. However, this will have huge implications on the financial front, as Venus will find out when she returns to your financial sector on the 25th April. Venus is not only the first planet to reach your financial sector this year, but the first to return and not find Saturn on the other side of the sky in over three years. You have all the benefits of over three years momentum on the income front, but none of the downside, which is financial tension whenever a planet moves through your financial sector. With the Sun not returning until later next month, this gives Venus time to put her focus into fuelling your financial confidence and getting a feel for money matters on your terms. The Moon will move through your income sector from the 4th April to the 7th April, before Venus returns to your financial sector and therefore without creating any financial tension. This will simply sharpen your nose for money and give you a link into all the untapped income potential and momentum Mars left you with.
Income matters are doubly blessed this month, benefiting both from the huge amount of planetary activity on the income front and from having Venus in your work sector until the 25th April. As the planet of money and especially earned income, Venus will always approach her transit through your work sector in a way that is different to any other planet. Venus will also draw on whatever resources there are in your income sector and this year they are extreme. As the planet of money, Venus' mandate will always be to fuel your job confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction. For the first time in our lifetime, you start the month with Mars, Saturn and Pluto in your income sector at the same time and will continue the month with that dream team. What you can't know, but the planets in play on the income and work fronts this month do, is that this is just the start of a powerful partnership between the two that will continue for the next six years. For now, Venus has the good fortune of moving through your work sector as Mars spends his first, last and only full month in your income sector, where he has huge resources. The month starts with Venus in her first full day in your work sector and Mars and Saturn aligned in your income sector. This is a coming together of Mars' urge to smash any glass ceilings within reach and Saturn's call for restraint. One of the best months of a massively important income year overlaps the start of the most important years on the job front in decades.
While this is a fairly quiet month on both the income and financial fronts, the pendulum is swinging towards money matters and just as well. For once Mars returns to your income sector next month it will swing dramatically back towards income matters, just as new doors start opening on the job front. In fact, that will happen as early as the 25th April when Venus, planet of money returns to your work sector. Even in ordinary times Venus would return to fuel your job confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction. Yet these are no ordinary times, for with the South Node, the force behind February's solar eclipse in your income sector and Mars returning next month, Venus will have a lot of resources to work with. Mars will return to your income sector just before Venus leaves your work sector next month, allowing them to share notes as their paths cross. With Mars not only in your income sector for two months, but returning for a double dip visit that will keep him here until November, income matters are in safe hands, with the most lucrative months of 2018 still in front of you. Until then there is a chance to make money matters more of a priority this month. Ceres, in your financial sector since last September and in retrograde motion since December, turned direct last month. In her first full month in direct motion Ceres is working with the North Node, the force behind a total lunar eclipse here earlier in the year and a total solar eclipse last August. This is a chance to get money matters on track or at least gain a better sense of financial direction. For now, when it comes to money matters that's what it comes down to.
There is a mix of the ordinary and the extraordinary in play on the income front this month. The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of March in your income sector, keeping the solar spot light on your income situation, matters and options until he leaves. The Sun will always leave 10 days before moving into April and as Venus and Mercury often travel with the Sun, they have often gone by now as well. This is the case and in fact, Venus and Mercury left weeks before the Sun. This is the point when Chiron, in your income sector since 2010 and Neptune, here since 2012 take the reins back, regroup and make it more about the journey again. That is exactly the case this month, with two important exceptions. The first is that Juno, queen of commitment is making her first visit in four years and will remain here until the 28th April, helping you to commit to the income resolutions, momentum and dreams fuelled over recent months. The second exception is Chiron, with the planet of healing leaving your income sector on the 17th April. Since returning in 2010 Chiron has been on a mission to lay old financial demons to rest, hunting down those things that stop you from fully believing in what you deserve. With Neptune not leaving until 2026, after six years this is when the planet of dreams will finally get a chance to take the reins and fly solo. From Chiron's departure on the 17th April and Juno's on the 28th April, the queen of commitment will work with Neptune to help you commit to the dreams that will now drive things on the income front. With support from lucky Jupiter in your career sector until November, Neptune is about to stretch his wings and what he can really do in this, his first, last and only visit to your income sector in our lifetime. Pay attention to your nose for money when the Moon moves through from the 12th April to the 14th April.
The focus will always be on your income situation, matters and options at this time of year, always have and always will. That is because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of April in your income sector and this year is no exception. However, that doesn't mean that all years are created equal. Last year every planet that moved through your income sector faced an opposition with Jupiter in your financial sector, creating some financial pressure and in general making it more challenging. This was balanced by the support of Saturn in your career sector over the last three years, something you're benefiting from now. This year the Sun, Venus and Mercury all returned to find no planets in opposition. There is some pressure from Saturn and Pluto, but the kind that pushes you to raise the bar and make the resources and support you have count. Venus left your income sector on the 31st March, just hours before you moved into April. This will ensure you start the week with your confidence fuelled, a clear sense of what you want and of what you deserve. Mercury, who returned just before Venus last month should have been long gone, normally moving through in just 15 days. Instead, Mercury is in retrograde motion here until April 15 and won't leave until May 14. This gives you all month to work with Mercury and his smart head for money and in the first half of the month to even spend time back at the drawing board. The Sun will leave on the 20th April but Mercury will stay on and there is a good reason why. Uranus, who has been in your income sector since 2010, will leave next month and these are the perfect planets to work together to make this last full month count. The Moon will move through your income sector from the 14th April to the 16th April and will be here, with your nose for money sharp as Mercury turns direct on the 15th April. It is this visit that will trigger a New Moon here on the 16th April.
