Monthly Money Horoscopes - October 2017
You can expect the focus to shift to your financial situation and money matters in October, for this is when the Sun will always return to your financial sector. And where the Sun leaves Venus and Mercury will always follow and this year Mars as well. However, this year it won't be the Sun leading the way, nor will you have to wait for his return on the 23rd October. What I have been describing is the annual financial review that takes place at this time every year and while that will still happen, things kick off earlier and in a much more game changing way. It is not just the dynamics of this financial year that change on the 11th October, but the next three financial years and your whole financial experience. For it's on the 11th October that Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion will return to your financial sector, for the first time since 2006. Until leaving in November 2018, Jupiter will usher in a period of financial growth and expansion, while making your financial situation and money matters one of the most powerful areas of your chart. To start with Jupiter's return will be focused more on just taking everything in and the Sun still 12 days away, taking inventory. If Jupiter is here to promote financial growth, he needs to know what he is starting with and what resources he will need to bring in. This is the start of a journey that will continue long after Jupiter leaves and in fact right through to 2019. Jupiter will get some help when Mercury returns on the 17th October, giving you the smart head for money needed to get your head in the game. By the time the Sun returns five days later, the solar spotlight should reveal a financial regrouping already well underway.
As Saturn spends his second full month in direct motion in your financial sector he is starting to gain traction and you should be seeing signs of movement on the financial front. What you won't see is the urgency that you would expect, especially with a three year financial boot camp now in its final months. For having returned in December 2014, Saturn is now in his final months and when he leaves just before Christmas, won't return for another 28 years. Yet Saturn does nothing in a hurry and while money matters will be moving forward, this hard taskmaster of the cosmos will still ask you to measure twice and cut once. For Saturn it is all about small steps in the right direction. This gives you time to make the financial choices, decisions and plans that will not just affect your life now, but over the years and decades to come. With Mercury, Venus and the Sun not returning until next month, things won't really start to come together until then. At the same time the Moon is set to play a starring role on the income front this month. It might just be a cameo appearance, but the Moon finds itself in the right place at the right time this month. All planetary activity on the income front is now over and it's the Moon's monthly visits and the nose for money they bring that have become priceless. This month the Moon will move through from the 9th October to the 11th October and the timing couldn't be better. For with Jupiter leaving your work sector on the 11th October, the Moon will be here in its final days as it leaves, giving Jupiter, work and job matters a lucrative sense of direction.
It was in the closing days of September that Ceres' departure from your income sector brought all the planetary activity for the year to a close. What wasn't surprising wasn't that this brought all the planetary activity here to a close for the year, but how late in the year this was. More often than not, all the planetary activity on the income front for the year is over by the end of July. However, what was also auspicious about the timing of Ceres' departure, is that the Moon was in your work sector as she left. That's important, for this gave work forces a lucrative sense of direction that will be crucial when Jupiter returns to your work sector on the 11th October. This brings your biggest year for job growth in over a decade and a powerful 18 month period across the job and career fronts. To have a lucrative sense of direction and some clear income objectives from the get go is priceless. Ceres didn't need to stay on. What is also auspicious is that the Moon will return to your income sector on the 11th October, just hours after Jupiter's return to your work sector. This will give your nose for money and a lucrative sense of direction a top up just as new doors open on the job front. In the meantime, Pluto's direct turn in your financial sector late last month has seen the tide turn. With money matters not really taking off until December, this gives you time to slowly gain momentum while giving you time to consider your options. The Moon's return to your financial sector from the 25th October to the 28th October will be a chance to check in.
With the Sun having left your income sector just days after August's total solar eclipse, you wouldn't expect to still have planetary activity here in October. Especially as Mercury, Mars and Venus also left your income sector last month. Yet even if this had brought all planetary activity for the year to a close, this wouldn't have been a disadvantage. For with the North Node, the force behind August's solar eclipse here until November 2018, things were never going to go off the boil. To still have planetary activity here would be a bonus, but definitely an unexpected one. And that is exactly what you have, with Ceres having returned to your income sector just four days after Venus left, late last month. Ceres is the queen of nurturing and her job is to make sure you get what you want, first by working to establish what it is you need. Once every four years, Ceres will spend three months getting to the heart of your income needs and priorities and making sure you get what you need. In order to do that she looks beyond the money and at all the implications. For that Ceres factors in all the currencies in your life. With the North Node here Ceres doesn't have to worry about attracting the money, because you have the Midas touch. Yet not due to leave until June 2019, Ceres is staying nine months this time. With the North Node here throughout that time and massive support for work and career forces, this is the first full month of what has the potential to be a lucrative new chapter.
While the Sun left your income sector last month, it is normal to still have planetary activity in your income sector as you move into October. Mercury only left in the closing days of September, leaving you with the smart head for money needed to have your head in the game from the get go. Normally Mercury will move through in just 15 days, but thanks to a romantic rut and a double dip visit, he had spent nearly two months here by the time he left. This not only leaves you with a smart head for money, but a very sharp head for money and 20/20 hindsight. With Venus not leaving until the 14th October and Mars until the 23rd October, the most lucrative weeks of the year are right in front of you. Until she leaves Venus will continue to attract opportunities and until he leaves, Mars will give you the courage and confidence to fight for what you deserve. Mars' departure on the 23rd October will bring all planetary activity on the income front for the year to a close, so there is a degree of urgency. However, it is not just about what you're able to achieve during that time. You're just months away from some major and game changing developments on the job front. With Pluto in his first full month in direct motion in your work sector, both Venus and Pluto will be working with him to point work and job matters in a lucrative direction. In a month where Neptune's last full month in retrograde motion in your financial sector still has you looking to the past there, on the income front you're looking to the future.
With the Sun always spending the first three weeks of October in your income sector, the focus is always going to be on your income situation, matters and options at this time of year. However, with Jupiter in your income sector since September 2017, there hasn't been a moment of this year when that hasn't been the case. However, there is a sea change this month, the transition having begun last month. It began with the Sun's return on the 23rd September, just as Jupiter was moving into his final weeks. Then, it was Mercury's return late last month that has given you the smart head for money needed to get your head in the game. Now, with Jupiter leaving on the 11th October the handover has begun. Throughout his 13 month visit Jupiter has been looking to the future and bulldozing a path for future income growth. The message that the Sun and Mercury give Jupiter, is that they can take it from here. This is when the sea change takes place, with Jupiter looking to the future, while the Sun and Mercury are focused on right now. If Jupiter has spent the last 13 months preparing for future income growth, then the Sun and Mercury declare that the future point is now. It is Venus' return on the 14th October that will trigger the laws of attraction, while Mars' return on the 23rd October will give you the courage to fight for what you deserve. Jupiter will leave on the 11th October, Mercury on the 17th October and the Sun on the 23rd October, leaving Venus and Mars behind. Between then and Mars' departure in early December is when every last possible opportunity will be exploited.
To start with it is business as usual, which means no planetary activity in either of your two money houses and no money gods to be seen. This is not unusual for this time of year and especially the early part of the month. For by the start of October all the planetary activity on the financial front for the year has usually finished months ago and the solar spotlight often doesn't shift onto your income situation, matters and options until the Sun returns on the 23rd October. The Sun returns at the same time every year, always has and always will. So it's not surprising then, that there should be a sense of anticipation from the get go. After all, in terms of planetary activity on the income front, the Sun's return is the start of a period of each year that is payday for you. However, by the time the Sun returns on the 23rd October everything will have changed and it changes 12 days earlier, on the 11th October. This is the date that you've been waiting for all year and the date that things irrevocably change. For this is when Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion returns to your income sector for the first time since 2006, kicking off your luckiest and most potentially lucrative year in over a decade. In reality, while Jupiter is here until November 2018, you will have planets on board to exploit every last potential through to March 2019. Jupiter returns every 12 years, but this is the first, last and only time in our lifetime that he will return to find Neptune in your work sector. This is massive news on both fronts. Mercury's return on the 17th October will give you the smart head for money needed to get your head in the game, while the Sun will turn all the spotlights on when he returns on the 23rd October.
This is a point in the year when all the focus is on income matters or at least it has been since Saturn returned to your income sector in 2014. If it wasn't for Saturn you would be waiting for the Sun's return next month. Saturn may have turned direct in late August, but after five months in retrograde motion it took most of September to gain any kind of traction. Even now things might be moving slowly, but due to leave in December Saturn is already determined to make his final months count. Saturn knows that he will not only have support during his final weeks, but with Mars not arriving until January and leaving in March 2018 that there is time to fully exploit all your potential. Mercury will return early next month, with the smart head for money needed to get your head in the game and to start focusing on the 'when, where and how'. That's the point where things will become more specific, giving you a nothing month of building up strength and momentum, without the pressure of having to flex your muscles. This is also a month for building bridges, especially with Uranus and Eris in your work sector and the North Node and Ceres in your career sector. This is professional support that will remain strong for the rest of this year and well into late 2018. With the most lucrative months likely to be from November 2017 to March 2018, this is a month for cementing that backbone of support across the income, work and career fronts. With income, work and career forces so tightly aligned, a Full Moon on the work front on the 6th October could act as a trigger across the board.
There is every reason to move into October with a new sense of income confidence and anticipation. Things all of a sudden got a lot better for income matters late last month, due to a number of things that all came into play within the space of a week. It began with Ceres' departure from your financial sector. This not only allowed all the money gods to deploy in order to put all their resources into income matters, but it brought any pressure or competition to an end. Constant oppositions with planets moving through your financial sector created some financial tension at times. Ceres' departure ended that, but not before leaving you with some clear financial priorities. It was at the same time that Venus, Mercury and Mars, moving through your career sector at the time, all moved into a positive alignment with Pluto. It was just days later that Pluto turned direct, turning the tide on the income front, just as the pressure had dropped off and support was kicking in. So no wonder you've moved into October with a new sense of income confidence and anticipation. It helps that you have Venus in your career sector until the 14th October to the 23rd October. This will provide support for Pluto and income forces, as they get their bearings. However, this isn't the only reason for income confidence and anticipation. All your income focus is now on the future and the road ahead and it's up ahead, in the final weeks of the year that the biggest income developments ever to play out on the income front will begin.
With the South Node in your income sector and the North Node in your financial sector until November 2018, the wheels will continue to turn on both fronts. However, not in the dramatic way that they did with August's lunar eclipse in your income sector and total solar eclipse in your financial sector. It is having the lunar nodes here that created those eclipses, along with the eclipses next February and again in mid 2018. Until now all the planetary activity has been in your financial sector, with income forces having to wait until January for their turn. However, with Jupiter in your career sector until the 11th October and so much support here during the month, income matters have more than enough support. It was Venus' departure from your financial sector last month that did bring all the planetary activity there to a close, temporarily leaving the lunar nodes on their own. This was a chance to balance the two. Yet it was just four days later that Ceres returned for her first visit to your financial sector in four years. Here until June 2018, Ceres will operate in the background, focused less on the money and more on redefining your financial priorities and your definition of financial success. Normally Ceres will just focus on money matters, but with the lunar nodes needing to maintain a balance between money coming in and money going out, she will focus on both. Maybe that's why she's staying for nine months, rather than her usual three months. While the lunar nodes are constantly working to maintain a balance between money coming in and money going out, there is no competition or tension between the two.
There is a lot of good news on the income and financial fronts this month. On the financial front this is fairly mundane in that it is a real boost for your financial confidence and money matters as a whole, but is not life or game changing. But on the income front it definitely falls into this category. At the same time of the month it is business as usual and there may even be some financial tension or at least a dent in your financial and/or income confidence. The price you have to pay for having continuous planetary activity in your income sector from 2003 to 2026 is that as the Sun and planets move through your financial sector, which they do in August and September each year, they will move into opposition. In the 10 day period from Saturday 23rd September to Sunday 1st October there were so many oppositions between income and financial forces that as one ended another began. The last, an opposition between Venus and Neptune, is still playing out as you move into the new month. Yet as both Venus and Mars will move into opposition with Chiron in your income sector before they leave your financial sector, Venus on the 14th October and Mars on the 23rd October, income forces will be immune from any pressure. Everything changes with Jupiter's return to your career sector on the 11th October, kicking off your biggest year for professional growth and expansion in over a decade. Jupiter was last here in 2005/2006, before Neptune's return to your income sector in 2012. This is the first and only time in our lifetime that you will have Neptune in your income sector and Jupiter in your career sector at the same time and this will be the case until November 2018.
October is always a bit month for money matters, but even more so this year. The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your financial sector, shining the solar spotlight on your financial situation and money matters. And this year is no exception, except you are also saying goodbye to Jupiter, who wraps up his 13 month visit to your financial sector on 11th October. As much as it might not sound like good news that the planet of luck and expansion is moving on, there are only positives here. No planet can move through your financial sector without moving into opposition with Eris, who has been in your income sector since 1926 and Uranus, since 2012. The price you have to pay for planetary activity on the income front is the potential for financial tension and pressure. Yet as income and financial forces clash, this raises the bar on both fronts and forces you to use the full potential of what you have available. Jupiter has spent the last 13 months working to promote financial growth and expansion, something that he is now able to pass the baton onto the Sun and Mercury. With the Sun here until the 23rd October and Mercury until the 17th October, you start the month with your head in the game and the spotlight on money matters from the get go. However, it's not until Venus returns on the 14th October and Mars on the 23rd October that the focus will shift exclusively to reaping as much potential as possible. The Sun is still focused on that, but also on the financial housekeeping that takes place at this time every year. In the meantime, while income forces are under pressure from the planets moving through your financial sector, with a lot of support from work and career forces this is the kind of push that can trigger a breakthrough.
